Initial Regular Season Playoff Schedules posted
The INITIAL draft of the SFUYSA Regular Season Playoff Schedules are posted online here.
These schedules may be adjusted depending upon various factors including travel times if necessary. Such changes would be updated on the website and notifications to club representatives would be emailed. If clubs have any issues with the schedules, they need to let us know with as much advance notice as possible.
Next SFUYSA meeting is FEBRUARY 7th!
There will not be a January 2012 SFUYSA meeting. The next SFUYSA League meeting will be held on Tuesday February 7th, 2012. This is a week earlier than our normal meeting date would be in order to deal with any last minute playoff considerations. Please make sure to properly freeze your team rosters for the Regular Season championships by January 10th.
Regular Season Roster Freeze 1/10/2012 MIDNIGHT
January 10, 2012 is Regular Season Roster Freeze date. Remember that SFUYSA uses the SFUYSA Online Team Registration to check on the eligibility of players for our league playoffs. If you have any changes to your team registrations they must be completed by midnight January 10th in order to be considered. Remember that all rules specified in the coaches meeting and in the coaches manual still apply. Namely, a player may ONLY be on ONE team registration at a time. Therefore, if you have a player that has been guest playing with one of your teams while on the team registration for another; if you want him to play for the team he has been guesting for in the playoffs, you will need to first remove him from his existing team then add him to the team he has been guesting for. There are NO GUEST players allowed in the playoffs. Therefore, your playoff game rosters will be compared to the team registrations on file at playoff check-in.
ONLY the ONLINE Team Registrations will be used for determining player eligibility. We will not accept FYSA Team History reports or any other documentation. Players are required to hold a current, laminated pass to their club for which they are playing and be age appropriate. Players may continue to guest play during the last part of the season, however, they must still abide by the guest play rules in the manual. Thus, if a player has been moved up to a division 1 team for the playoff roster, he could then no longer play on his previous division 2 team for the reminder of the season. However, a player that was playing division 1 without much playing time and who has been moved down on the team registration form of a division 2 team, may guest play on the division 1 team through the end of the season, but not in the playoffs.
Coaches are STRONGLY URGED to be aware of the rules for player movement and guest play. The playing of ineligible players WILL result in game forfeitures and potential coaches suspensions.
